Okay, I had to share this link to a blog post by mixed media artist Melody Ross that just blew me away. She opens up her soul and share her beautiful and heartbreaking story of learning the true meaning of love by loving her husband through a time when he was unable to himself or her. She talks about how she developed a deeply profound relationship with God that saved her heart and her marriage. Even if you are not a Christian or believe in God, I believe that the heart of her experience will speak to you. I personally cried when I read it and I thank her for her generosity in sharing this deeply vulnerable part of her heart with the world. The post is called "What Love is... and how it saved my marriage."
How about you? Have you had an experience that has changed or expanded your understanding of what love really is? If so, I encourage you to share it with others as our personal narratives have the power heal and encourage the hearers of our story.
