Hello everyone! I should be sleeping right now, but I couldn't help but do a couple of sketches. Seems I'm in a bit of a holiday mood! That's all for now! I'm off to bed :)
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have had a wonderful week and aren't too cold. The weather here has dropped drastically and I was not prepared. Lol, oh well that's Maryland for ya! On the other hand I love seeing the fall leaves, they're so beautiful. If you have been following my blog, you know I enjoy experimentation and am always looking for different products to create with my artwork. I'm excited to have earrings for the upcoming art festivals! The first set is made with sticky-back canvas which I painted with original artwork! The second set I created with some metal 'findings'. I don't have these listed in my shop as I'm planning to offer them at the November 9th art festival ( Novemberfest! ). If you'd like to purchase a pair and can't make it to the show, just email me and I can send you out an invoice! That's all for now and don't forget to keep creating!
Happy Friday all! I just wanted to pop in and share what's going on in my studio. I'm busily preparing for the upcoming craft shows. I'm actually planning to sign up for one more that's also in December! More to come on that. I also wanted to share a picture of a magnet board I created that I absolutely LOVE how it turned out! I'm also linking to Paint Party Friday. That's all for now. Remember to keep creating!
Hello all! Yup, this is my second post for the day. This seems to be becoming a bit of a trend for me! Lol. Well, the week moved so fast. Friday's here and I realize I haven't posted any art. Shame on me! I've actually been busily working away because I'll be participating in TWO art festivals in the next few months! Woohoo! I'm excited and of course slightly overwhelmed because that means I need to create a lot of new art to share with you all. If you're here in the DMV I'd love for you to come out and have a chance to see my happy creations in person. Alright so here are the details: Up first we have Novemberfest! hosted by the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Rockville. Location: 100 Welsh Park Drive, Rockville, MD 20850 Date: Saturday, November 9, 2013 Time: 9 AM - 3 PM Then in December I will be a vendor at The Festival of Lights Craft Fair to held at the Greenbelt Recreation Department building. Click here to read about the fair that was held last year. Here are the details: Location: 15 Crescent Road, Greenbelt, MD 20770 Dates: Saturday, December 7th & Sunday, December 8th, 2013 Times: Saturday, 10 AM - 5 PM & Sunday, 11 AM - 4 PM I've never participated in either of these events before, but I'm really looking forward to it. I made several small paintings this week that I'm going to make into magnets. I wanted to try some really simplistic paintings with bright backgrounds. I love these little guys and they are actually more vibrant in person (still working on my lighting!) I'd love to hear what you think.

Hello all! I hope your weekend was wonderful. I just wanted to share this song that I am absolutely loving now. "Would you let me see beneath your beautiful?"
Hello all! I wanted to share some more ACEOs that I created over the weekend. After working in limited color I had a craving for lots of bright colors. Here's what happened. I had forgotten how much I enjoy doodling and pattern! I hope these little creations brighten your day! Have a wonderful weekend all and don't forget to keep creating!
Hello all! I just wanted to share a couple of my creations over the weekend. I had a lot of fun making the Curly Girls, so I decided to make a couple more. If you've been following my journey, you know that I enjoy working in limited palettes sometimes. I wanted to see what I could come-up with if I just used black, gray, pink, & red. Here are the results. The contrast came out much harsher than I intended in the second one so I was a little disappointed about that. On the other hand, I really love her expression and I love how the hair turned out on both of them.
Each time I go to create I try to remind myself to practice gentleness and really focus on connecting to the process instead of the outcome. When I'm able to do this I find I learn so much more and have fun doing it! Have a wonderful day and remember to keep creating! |
